British Council long copy 3

H/L: It takes a country with a Queen to produce another.

Copy: Born Farrakh Balsara, to Persian parents in the small spice island of Zanzibar, little 'Freddie' exhibited a remarkable ear for music from an early age.

Four piano grades and 12 years later, Freddie was ready. But the world wasn't. Ealing College of Art, London, followed St. Peter's English School, Bombay. And all the while Freddie followed his dream.

Bands were formed. Bands disbanded. Until fate intervened in the form of a 'Vocalist Wanted' sign. Freddie joined, and 'Queen' was born. Overnight they became the kings of Pop.

And for the next two decades the world watched as Freddie performed. Queen rose to the top of the charts again and again. Only Freddie's flamboyant performances onstage could out stage his genius talent.

72,000 people witnessed his Magnum Opus at the Wembley Stadium in 1989. Freddie had finally come into his own.

The UK has been nurturing talent for centuries. From William Shakespeare to Robbie Williams, the UK has a knack for bringing out the best in people. Here , opportunities abound, as do opportunists.

The UK. Arrive and thrive.
